To Import images from a digital camera or a smart phone in elementary OS. You will need the USB cable that came with the device.



1) Plug one end of the USB cable into the camera and the other end into the computer.



2) Turn on the digital camera or phone.



3)Open the program simply called Photos it should be in Applications in the upper left hand corner.



4)Choose your camera Under Cameras on the left and click on Import All in the bottom left hand corner.



All your images will now be copied from the camera to your Pictures Folder. This works for most digital cameras and Android smart phone.
